Symtron Announces New FaceOn Access
Control Solution in CeBit |
Symtron Technology
Inc., the leading biometrics solution provider
in the security market, proudly announced
a revolutionary intelligent FaceOn Access Control
Solution by integrating the award-winning FaceOn
face recognition technology.
FaceOn Access Control is a
new-generation entrance guarding system of high
security and convenience. The system is a
digital network-based access control management
solution which integrates with proximity card
reader, high resolution video camera, patented
face recognition engine developed by Symtron RD
team, and comprehensive back-end information
management platform.
"Comparison with conventional
security solutions, passwords could be forgotten
or hacked, cards could be lost or stolen, and
fingerprints or iris require special readers
or scanners", said Dr.
Alan Yeh, President of Symtron Technology. "FaceOn Access Control provides
users authentication method by "truly verifying
the identity of the person. Only the authorized
users can be recognized. FaceOn Access Control
can be used in the restricted areas where higher
security level is required, such as R &
D Division, Internet Data Center, vaults, labs,
private clubs, and so on".
Applying the contact-less
biometric system, FaceOn Access Control causes
no uneasiness and ensures fast and accurate
match results. Adjustable embedded camera of
FaceOn Front Reader automaticaly turns the
visual angle corresponding to user's height.
Therefore, the facial recognition result will
not be effected due to the difference of user's
height. FaceOn Access Control provides three
layer of security protections by integrating ID
card, password and facial recognition
technology. The flexibility of the three options
meets the most demanding security
requirement.
"A new intelligent
self-learning system activates the learning
mechanism to adjust to the changes in
environment, age, and physical
characteristics" said Dr. Alan Yeh. "Once enrolled, FaceOn
software automatically locates the face, verifies
the facial feature, then grant or denies access
based on the comparison result". If a user fails
to get a facial authentication, FaceOn Access
Control would either sound off an alarm or notify
security personnel. The back-end server contains the control device
to determine operators from doorways in the
status of grand or rejection and performs the
functions in administration, database management,
and reporting. The entire procedure will store
your facial template in a back-end server through
a PC camera for auditing.
Security
management is a big business in the world,
especially nowadays that companies are demanding
higher security levels to protect their
businesses. Currently, FaceOn has successfully
implemented in customers' sites worldwide.
Symtron continues working on security solutions
using patented facial recognition technology to
keep up with the growing trend of Biometrics.
