Recognizing Your Identity by Intelligent FaceOn Access Control Solution

Symtron Technology Inc., the leading biometrics solution provider in the security market, today proudly announced a revolutionary intelligent FaceOn? Access Control Solution by integrating the award-winning FaceOn? face recognition technology.

FaceOn? Access Control is a complete hardware and software solution, employing face recognition technology to secure gates and doorway access that require a higher security level in various industries. Comparison with conventional security solutions, passwords could be forgotten or hacked, cards could be lost or stolen, and fingerprints or iris require special readers or scanners, FaceOn? Access Control provides users authentication method by "truly verifying the identity of the person. Only the authorized users can be recognized. FaceOn? Access Control can be used in the restricted areas where higher security level is required, such as R & D Division, Internet Data Center, vaults, labs, private clubs, and so on.

"Breaking into a building will no longer be that easy", said Dr. Alan Yeh, President of Symtron Technology. "FaceOn? Access Control is the three-in-one security solution. At the front-end, you need to enter a password, or show your ID card, and then have your facial features scanned using FaceOn? face recognition software. You will only gain access if you pass all three security checks".

"The security market generated revenues of over US$ 2.6 billion in 2007. Forst & Sullivan predicts that figure will reach US$ 50 billion in revenues in 2010" said Dr. David Kriegman. "Security management is a big business in the world, especially nowadays that companies are demanding higher security levels to protect their businesses."

FaceOn? Access Control consists of three major components: FaceOn? Card Reader, provides extra layer of security to security-sensitive hardware in physical access.; FaceOn? Monitor, displays and transmits user's faceprint to server; and FaceOn? Server, contains the control device to determine operators from doorways in the status of grand or rejection and performs the functions in administration, database management, and reporting.

The entire procedure will store your facial template in a back-end server through a PC camera for auditing. Once enrolled, FaceOn? software automatically locates the face, verifies the facial feature, then grant or denies access based on the comparison result. If a user fails to get a facial authentication, FaceOn? Access Control would either sound off an alarm or notify security personnel.

Currently, FaceOn? has successfully integrated with Smart IC Card and iKey. Symtron continues working on solutions for ATM Card, PDA, and Mobile Phones to keep up with the growing trend of post-PC era. The company foresees the significant business opportunities in the IA and wireless communication market.
